My personal portfolio and blog. This page explains what data is processed when you visit, what is stored in your browser, and how to ask me to delete it. It covers this site and the services it uses today.
what this site processes
heyamit.dev is a static site hosted on Vercel. When you request a page, Vercel processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser user agent, the URL you asked for and the time of the request. That data is needed to serve the page, keep the site secure and produce aggregated traffic numbers. Vercel handles it under its own privacy policy.
There is no account system, no comment section, no newsletter and no tracking pixels on this site. Fonts are self-hosted, so loading a page does not contact Google Fonts.
cookies and local storage
This site does not set cookies of its own.
It does keep a few pieces of data in your browser's local storage:
vyrx_blog_theme— remembers your reading theme (dark, paper, sepia or nord) on blog posts.pr_cache_v5_*— caches the open-source pull request list on the home page so it loads faster.
These stay in your browser and are not sent to me as identifiers. Clearing site data in your browser removes them.
other services the page loads
The GitHub contributions calendar on the home page fetches its public data directly from github-contributions-api.jogruber.de in your browser, so your IP address reaches that service. The pull request list uses this site's own /api/github endpoint, so GitHub sees the server's request rather than yours.
The coding status widget asks this site's /api/coding-status endpoint, which reads my own WakaTime statistics. It does not receive data about you.
analytics
This site uses two analytics tools from Vercel, the host:Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. They are the only analytics on the site.
Web Analytics records anonymous page views: the URL, referrer, approximate location such as country or city, browser, operating system, device type and time. It does not use third-party cookies. Vercel identifies a visitor with a hash derived from the request and says that session identifier is discarded after 24 hours. I only see aggregated numbers.
Speed Insights records performance measurements, mainly Core Web Vitals, for each route, along with browser, device, operating system, country and network speed. Vercel says this data is not tied to an individual visitor or IP address.
You can block both scripts with an ad blocker or privacy extension. The site still works without them.
the contact form
The contact form asks for your email address, an optional subject and a message. It sends them to this site's /api/send endpoint, which forwards them through Resend to my inbox at theamit.969@gmail.com.
The site does not store the message in a database. Resend processes it so it can be delivered, and the message stays in my email inbox until I delete it. I use it only to reply. Please don't send sensitive personal information through the form.
data requests
Email theamit.969@gmail.com to ask what data related to you is held, to correct it, or to have it deleted. If you have emailed me, that message is the only thing I would hold, and I will delete it when you ask. Analytics reports are aggregated, so I cannot use them to find an individual visitor.
ads
There are no ad networks on this site today. No ad scripts load, no advertising cookies are set, and there is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
If ads are enabled later, this page will be updated first. Google AdSense would then load on blog posts, Google and its partners could set cookies or use identifiers to select and measure ads, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland would see a consent prompt before personalised ads or non-essential cookies. A real seller line would be added to ads.txt only after the account is approved. Nothing is active now.
changes
If the site starts using a new service or the way data is handled changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
This page describes the site as it works today. It is not legal advice, and the site owner should review it before relying on it.
